What is the name of your character? Is he/she a fictional or historical character?
His name is Vel Peate, and as I have no younger siblings, he’s completely fictional. His character functions like a sounding board, a fresh pair of eyes, and a safe place for Lyssa/Razia to confide in.When and where is the story set?
I have updated this response since writing the previous post (based on work in Book 2) - it’s in the distant future, when there’s too many humans and they keep needing more planets to buy and exploit. What is the main conflict? What messes up his/her life?
For Vel, his story begins when he makes an agreement with Dr. Pymus, Lyssa’s slimy boss, to become Lyssa’s intern for six months. Pymus wants him to spy on Lyssa to learn everything he can about where she disappears to; but Vel has his own intentions about the internship. When Lyssa is mistaken for Razia by some Universal Policemen, she gets out of it by pretending Vel is her hostage. The news of the “hostage taking” gets out, and suddenly Razia is one of the most wanted pirates in the universe.
Lyssa/Razia is like
and ditches him to go live in her new, now awesome (ish) life.
But the next week, Vel reappears, and is like, “Yeah, if you don’t allow me to finish out this internship, I will tell everyone.” And, of course Lyssa/Razia is all:
What is the personal goal of the character?
Vel has a line that sums up his motivations perfectly:Is there a working title?
Double Life!Look at the pretty...

Taggidy tag tag. Who am I gonna tag next?
Well, since I didn't get asked before I was tagged, I'm gonna just tag some of my #NewAgent Friends:L.L. McKinney - Because she was teh!hilarious slushreader, and I'd like to know what she's got going on besides doling out sage advice.
S.C. Author - Even though he didn't even pick #RaziaDoubleLife as a MAYBE, he's still a cool dude. And he believes in the future of New Adult, which is always awesome.
E.G. Moore - Such a cheerleader, and so excited about the competition. She got through where Double Life did not; and I'd like to read more about what she's got going on.
Y'all can post anytime in the next couple of days/weeks/years... Just let me know so I can RT you!
