So I have to say up front that I'm totally biased about this book...because the lovely Heather asked me to be her content and line editor.
*squish*
So because I took a real hard look at it, I really do want to take a minute and express just what kind of book Heather's put together here.
I'm actually not very religious, but I do appreciate people who are passionate about their faith (whatever faith that may be). Heather is someone who I admire greatly for her passion, and even more so after I read the creative way which she incorporated Biblical themes allegorically into this book. And I think that's what sold me on the book itself, even though I am personally not sold on the Gospel (and no, that's not an invitation to try).
And beyond all that fun stuff, it's just a really interesting book. A dystopian where the world is now below ground because of the nuclear holocaust, and leaving their bunker is akin to certain death. But most folks are happy with their french fries and holographs, because most folks only live to 35 or 40.
But when Fran makes it out of the underground bunker and finds the world lush and green, she suddenly begins to question everything - even more than she had before.
It was such a pleasure to work with Heather and I hope that you enjoy reading the book as much as I did!

About the Book
The residents of Impervious survived the War of Annihilation. And though the city is chock full of pleasures to tantalize and entertain, a Beast lurks in its corners. This Beast has destroyed most of Generations One, Two and Three. Therefore as Gen-Four prepares to take the stage, a provocative, yet questionable, method to avoid an untimely death becomes a cultural rage.
Fran is counter-cultural, living off the grid in true Rebel fashion. Her life is far from opulent as she scurries through dark tunnels, searching for hot meals and ditching the holographic security team. Yet, it’s a healthy trade-off. Unaccountability means The Council can’t wrap their cold fingers around her sliver of hope in the the Epoch--an end to the madness.
With the Beast on her tail, Fran grasps painfully onto this splintered sliver until, through a miraculous discovery, a new hope is born…
If she can she outrun the Beast.
